What's the goal of Georgetown Runners 2.0?
Georgetown Runners 2.0 (GTR2.0) was established in April 2022.
The long term goal of this group is to establish a running community in Georgetown that is open to all skill levels, distances and speeds.
Why should I join a running group?
Running is a great way to make new friends and create a sense of community. Joining a running group or training for a race can be a fun and social experience. The camaraderie of the group can help you push yourself to achieve your goals.
But most importantly, running is a way to take control of your own health and well-being. It's a way to empower yourself and to make positive changes in your life.
Whether you use the group as motivation to run regularly, to train for an upcoming race or to simply enjoy a social outing with other runners the goal is to create an inclusive running community with member support as its foundation.
What does All Faces All Paces mean?
GTR2.0 is a diverse running community for everyone regardless of skill level and running ability.
How do I get access to the GTR2.0 Facebook group?
You can request to join the GTR2.0 Facebook group. Be advised that the Facebook group is intended to be used by active members of the GTR2.0 running community to facilitate communication and to foster a sense of community. Therefore we ask that only GTR2.0 members who are actively engaged and participating with the group join the Facebook page.

I am not a fast runner and fear that I will slow the group down, can I still join the run?
We run in smaller groups based on skill level and ability. Our goal is to match you with runners of similar abilities to run with.
Do I need to be in "shape" before I run with the group?
Absolutely not. We have runners of all skill levels and abilities. You become a better runner by running, so grab your shoes and join us.
Where can I find out about upcoming events?
GTR2.0 is a running community that promotes social interaction. As such we host a number of social events throughout the year - from pub runs, glow in the dark night runs and our Banana Bread social to name a few.
